Terms of Use
Last updated: 31 October 2026
These terms govern your use of MarketUni. By creating an account or using the marketplace, you agree to them. Sellers are also bound by the Seller Agreement, and all use is subject to our Privacy Policy.
1. Your account
Give accurate account and institution information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You buy and sell within your own institution.
2. Buying and paying
When you order, you pay MarketUni, not the seller directly. We hold the payment and release it to the seller after the order is completed, or refund it if the order is cancelled under our rules. Never move a payment off the platform — if you do, you lose this protection.
3. Selling
Sellers must verify their identity, list items honestly, fulfil orders as described, and follow the Seller Agreement. MarketUni deducts its commission from completed sales and pays the balance to the seller’s verified bank account.
4. Acceptable use
Do not list illegal, stolen, counterfeit or prohibited items, impersonate others, harass members, or attempt to defraud buyers or sellers. We may pause or remove listings and suspend accounts that break these rules.
5. Messages
Keep communication and payment on MarketUni. Contact details shared in messages may be hidden to protect you and keep transactions traceable.
6. Disputes
If an order goes wrong, open a dispute from the order. Campus moderators and MarketUni review the evidence and decide the outcome, including refunds, under our policies.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep MarketUni running but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change these terms as the service evolves; the “last updated” date shows the current version and material changes will be notified in the app.
8. Liability
MarketUni provides the platform and payment protection described here, but is not a party to the underlying sale between buyer and seller. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amounts handled through the platform for the order concerned.
